Webber Township appoints new zoning administrator

WEBBER TWP. — Webber Township now has a new zoning administrator.

During a special meeting Feb. 14, the Webber Township Board appointed and hired Larry Reed as the new Webber Township zoning administrator.

Reed told the Star he is happy to be on board.

There were two candidates for zoning administrator, and the board chose Larry Reed, explained Webber Township Supervisor Ernie Wogatzke.

"I think he will do a fine job. It was a unanimous vote by the township board," Wogatzke explained.

Reed is replacing former zoning administrator Michael Oisten, who is moving out of state.

Wogatzke said Reed's position as zoning administrator involves learning and knowing the township's zoning and police-power ordinances, issuing camping permits, land-use permits and more.
