United Airlines will no longer be servicing Battle Creek and Lansing area airports.
Announced this week, United Airlines is pulling its service from 11 airports around the country including the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport and the Capital Region International Airport in Lansing as of Jan. 3. These airports will no longer be offering flights by United Airlines, making the closest hub O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
According to Business Insider, who first reported on the subject, in addition to the Michigan airports, the other areas that are being affected are:
• College Station, Texas
• Columbia, Mo.
• Mosinee, Wis.
• Evansville, Ind.
• Killeen-Fort Hood, Texas
• Monroe, La.
• Pierre, S.D.
• Watertown, S.D.
• Twin Falls, Idaho
While United has pulled its service, flights on other airlines are still available for these Michigan markets.
