BALDWIN — No one has to go without a hot Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day in Lake County. A free community meal is being offered by volunteers and community organizations.

From 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, people of all ages who attend St. Ann Senior Center (690 E. 9th St.) will get a full helping of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls and desserts

The event is sponsored by Men of Purpose and Lake Fellowship Ministries, with volunteers from Bread of Life Food Pantry, St. Ann and Baldwin Lion's Club also coming together.

A yearly tradition, the goal of the supper is for no one to have to spend Thanksgiving alone, but can come together and celebrate the holiday as a community.

The meal also is extended to shut ins, who are provided a meal when they contact organizers at 231-250-0981.

People of all ages and affiliations are welcome.

A Christmas dinner also will be provided on Christmas Day for those who want to join a community celebration.
