Sheriff's Charitable Campaign donates $200 to Sauble Township Trunk-or-Treat

Annual event to take place Oct. 29

LAKE COUNTY — Lake County Sheriff Rich Martin presented a check for $200 to Sauble Township recently, as part of the ongoing LCSO charitable campaign.

The funds will go to support the annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event which will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Oct. 29, at the Sauble Township Lindley Park Pavilion.

Participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicles and wear costumes. Along with trunk-or-treating, there will be popcorn, donuts, cider and hot chocolate available.

“It was a privilege to issue out a check today for the Sauble Township Halloween event from one of our charity campaigns,” Sheriff Martin said. 
The Lake County Sheriff’s charity campaign includes the Sheriff's Returnables for Charity, the Blessing of the Bikes Shirt Drive, the Special Cause Sheriff Patch Drive, the Challenge Coin Sales and the No Shave/Beard Campaign.

The campaign has given donations totaling nearly $50,000 to local nonprofits to date.
