Sheriff Martin visits Luther Library story hour

LUTHER — Luther area children were treated to a visit by Lake County Sheriff Rich Martin during Story Hour at the Luther Area Public Library last Saturday at the Luther Area Public Library.

Martin entertained the children by reading a story book. He also deputized all the kids and gave each one a sheriff's badge with their name on it.

In other fun, Karma Gidley was announced as the "Caught in the Act" winner.

"We had a wonderful time today and look forward to next month's story hour," said Theresa Laughlin, assistant librarian.

Story hour is scheduled each month, and library staff invite people influential in the community to share with the children and read them stories. Some of the recent guests included the Luther Fire Department and Lake County Clerk Patti Pacola.
