Merle H. Brandli
Dearly loved, Merle H. Brandli, departed from our presence in her Baldwin home March 24, 2015.
She wore her favorite color of lipstick for a forthcoming reunion with other family and friends.
Merle was born on Nov. 13, 1926 during a severe snowstorm in Chicago, the daughter of the late Wiliam H. Bleck and Elsie A. Witt-Bleck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold and William Belck; and sister Pearl Bleck-Boelcke. Merle’s husband of 50 years and love of her life, Kenneth Brandli, departed in 1995. She met him at church during WWII in Chicago, while he was in the U.S. Navy.
She is survived by her dear baby brother Roger (Dorothy) Bleck of Orland Park, Ill.; sons, Terry L. (Mary) Brandli, and Jerry L. (Kelly) Brandli both of Delton; daughter, Cheryl A. (Clay) Brandli of Baldwin where she spent her later days. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Merle ran Ken’s Sport Shoppe in Delton for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Delton. She enjoyed Ladies Lunch Bunch with her friends. She also enjoyed family gatherings and holidays with all of her family. Cremation has taken place and Merle will be buried with her husband, Ken at Fort Custer Cemetery in Battle Creek.
