Luther Lion's Club to host Community Awareness Day event

Several local organizations available to share information

LUTHER — The Luther Lion’s Club will host a “Community Awareness Day” for residents of Luther and the surrounding area from 5 to 8 p.m., Oct. 28, at the Luther Lion’s Club Hall, 1003 N. Old State St., Luther.

The purpose of this event is to inform residents what the community and the Village of Luther have to offer by way of recreation, social and religious functions, sporting opportunities, law enforcement, natural resources and other events. 

Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about community organizations such as:

  • Luther Lion’s Club
  • Michigan Department of Natural Resources
  • Lake County Sheriff’s Office
  • Local churches
  • Village Council members
  • Local political candidates
  • Local restaurants and bars
  • Lake County Sportsman’s Club
  • Fire Department
  • Senior Center and Museum
  • True North Services
  • Local banks
  • Village Post Office
  • Local animal shelter
  • Fraternal Order of Masons
  • 911 Emergency/Red Alert call center
  • Baldwin Chamber of Commerce
  • Luther Park Committee
  • Lake County Commission
  • Victims Advocate Services

Hot Dogs and baked beans will be provided during the event and the Lion’s Club will sell drinks, chips and popcorn.
