LAKE COUNTY — The following is a list of community events happening in and around the area. If you have an event you would like posted on the calendar, or if any information is incorrect, contact cathie.crew@pioneergroup.com:

The mitten tree is up at the Lake County Courthouse, with sizes from baby to adult, as well as scarves, hats and footies. Those in need are welcome to stop by. The items are available for free.

The Baldwin Downtown Merchants Christmas Open House weekend will kick off with a Christmas Parade at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2 in downtown Baldwin. A Community Carol Sing and Christmas Tree lighting will immediately follow the parade at the Brown Trout sculpture. Other activities are in the planning stages. The Reed City Moose Lodge 705 will host “Breakfast with Santa” from 8 to 11 a.m., Dec. 3, at 200m  N. Roth St., Reed City. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, ham, juice, milk and coffee. Take a phot with Santa, frost a cookie to take home. Cost is $6 per person.

The Luther Lion’s Club will host a Holiday Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 3, at the Lion’s Club Hall, 1003 State St., Luther. Door prizes, lunch and beverages will be available.

Pleasant Plains Township will host a spaghetti dinner and bake sale fundraiser from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Dec. 3 and a breakfast buffet fundraiser from 8 to 11 a.m., Dec. 4, at the Pleasant Plains Township Hall, 7333 M-37, Baldwin. Proceeds will help support the family of township trustee Beth Knight with medical expenses.

The Luther Lion’s Club will host Breakfast with Santa from 8:30 to 11 a.m., Dec. 4 at the Lion’s Club Hall, 1003 State St., Luther. The all you can eat breakfast is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6 to 12 and free for under 6. There will be an opportunity to have photos with Santa.

The Shrine of the Pines Museum will host a Visit with Santa from 3 to 6 p.m., Dec. 10 at the museum, 8962 M-37, Baldwin.

The Lake County Chamber of Commerce will host a Christmas Cookie Party family fun event from 1 to 3 p.m., Dec. 10, at the River Community Center, 9731 S. M-37, Baldwin. Includes lunch, cookie decorating and crafts. To register call 231-629-4337 or 231-557-3993.

The Evart “Miracle on Main Street” Christmas parade and tree lighting will take place starting at 6 p.m., Dec. 10 in downtown Evart. Anyone interested in participating in the parade may contact Chris Emerick on Facebook messenger.

The Osceola County Expo Small Business Arts and Crafts show will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 10, at the Osceola County Fairgrounds Community Building. Concessions will be available. For more information call 231-357-2701 or email erica98915@yahoo.com.

The Luther Lion’s Club will host a Feeding America truck from 3 p.m. till all food is gone, Dec. 8 at the Lion’s Club Hall, 1003 State St., Luther.

The Reed City Area Ministerial Association Coat Pantry is open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., each Wednesday through the winter season at Reed City United Methodist Church, 503 S. Chestnut St., Reed City. For more information call 231-250-2790.

The Salvation Army of Big Rapids has opened a Fresh Start Baby Pantry for families with children under age 5 in Mecosta, Osceola, Lake and Newaygo counties. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information visit sabigrapids.org.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5315 hosts Bar Bingo every Wednesday beginning at 3:30 p.m. and Queen of Hearts drawing at 5 p.m. Public is welcome at the post, 2225 S M-37, Baldwin. For more information call 231-745-2134.

The Luther Lions Club will host an all you can eat breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m., the first Sunday of every month. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12. Breakfast will include biscuits and gravy, ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, French toast, pancakes, orange juice and coffee.

The Duane E. Dewey AMVETS Post 1988 hosts Euchre at 1 p.m., every Monday, at the AMVETS hall, 1959 W. 24th St., Baldwin. For more information call 231- 745-2550.
