The Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan will host a technology assistance event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 27 at the Scottville Area Senior Center, 140 S. Main St., Scottville. Bring your device and receive one-on-one assistance. A limited number of tablets will be available for participants who do not have a device. Must be 60 and over and a resident of Allegan, Ionia, Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Newaygo or Osceola counties. For more information call 616-222-7024.

The Luther Lions Club will host an all you can eat beef stroganoff dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Sept. 28, at the Lion’s Club Hall. Dinner will include mixed vegetables, salad, bread, dessert, coffee and lemonade. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for kids 6 to 12.

The Mason-Lake Conservation District and the Little Manistee Watershed Conservation Council will host a Macroinvertebrate Workshop as part of a stream monitoring program for the Little Manistee River from5 to 6 p.m., Sept. 28, at the Sauble Township Hall, 8906 West 6 Mile Rd., Irons. A field day will be held on Oct. 12, with volunteers meeting at 10 a.m. at the Club 37 north parking lot, just north of Baldwin. The CrossRoads Theatre Guild in Reed City will present “The Girls in 509” from Sept. 30 through Oct. 9, at the Performing Arts Center, 249 W. Upton Ave., Reed City. For show times and tickets call 231-465-4044.

The Barryton Conservation Club will host a gun and knife show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 1, at 3444 18 Mile Rd., Barryton. Admission is $5. Kids under 12 are free. For more information call 231-250-7257.

The Reed City Moose Lodge No. 705 will host a Halloween themed cornhole tournament on Oct. 1. Check in is at 11 a.m., with first throw at noon. Hot dogs and chips will be available. Proceeds will support expanded sports TV coverage at the lodge.

Oxford Farm corn maze and pumpkin patch, located at 1799 S. 155th Ave., Hersey, is open now through Oct. 16. Maze entry is $5. A farm store offers donuts and cider, popcorn, caramel apples, coffee, fall décor and more. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.

The Salvation Army of Big Rapids has opened a Fresh Start Baby Pantry for families with children under age 5 in Mecosta, Osceola, Lake and Newaygo counties. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information visit sabigrapids.org.
