•    MSU Extension and 4-H invite all youth for fun and free activities at 1p.m., Wednesday’s through Aug. 24, at Wenger’s Pavilion behind Jone’s Ice Cream in Baldwin. 

•    Baldwin Summer Concerts will host the Planet D. Nonet, from 7 to 9:15 p.m., Aug. 6, and Harper and MidWest Kind from 7 to 9:15 p.m., Aug. 10, at the Wenger Pavilion in Baldwin. For more information visit baldwinsummerconcerts.org.

•    The Cedar Creek Band will perform at 7 p.m., Aug. 11, at the Reed City Depot, Pere Marquette Trail, Reed City.

•    The Evart Community Business Women organization will host a Scholarship Golf Outing starting at 9 a.m., Aug. 5, at Spring Valley Golf Course. Registration is $70 per person and includes 18 holes w/cart and lunch.  To register call 231-250-8700.

•    Reed City “Saturdays at the Depot” will host a John Mellencamp Tribute Band at 7 p.m., Aug. 6 at the Reed City Depot, Pere Marquette Trail, Reed City.

•    The Idlewild Annual Homecoming Jazz and Blues Festival will be held from noon to 8 p.m., Aug. 6, at John Meeks Park in Idlewild, located at M.L. King and Idlewild Blvd.

•    The Mason-Lake Conservation District board of directors will meet at 4 p.m., Aug. 8, at the Scottville branch of the Mason County Library, 204 E. State St., Scottville. The public is invited to attend.

•    Luther Lion’s Club will host an all you can eat dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Aug. 24. Dinner includes pork chops, baked potato, vegetable, salad and dessert. Coffee, tea and lemonade provided. Cost is $12 for adults and children over 12, $6 for children 6-12 and free under 6.

•    The Evart Fire Department is hosting an Emergency Medical Responder Course from Sept. 8 through Nov. 12 at the Evart Fire Station, 109 E. Sixth St., Evart. Cost is $500. Registration deadline is August 19. For questions or to register contact s.hemler@evartfd.com.

•    The Luther Lions Club will host an all you can eat breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m., the first Sunday of every month. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12. Breakfast will include biscuits and gravy, ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, French toast, pancakes, orange juice and coffee.
