• The Baldwin Sesquicentennial Celebration 1872 American Flag Exhibit will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 21 and 22, at the Lake-Osceola State Bank, 790 Michigan Ave., Baldwin.
• The Baldwin Sesquicentennial Celebration Women’s Straw Hat Decorating Workshop will be held at 1 p.m., July 22, at the Lake County Historical Museum, 915 N. Michigan Ave., Baldwin.

• Michigan Works! West Central will be hosting a “hiring party” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 22, at its Big Rapids service center, 14330 Northland Drive., Big Rapids. Several employers will be on hand to conduct interviews for open positions. Lunch will be provided.

• The Luther Lions Club will host a “Christmas in July” dinner with Santa from 5 to 6:30 p.m., July 27. Cost is $12 for adults and children 6 to 12, $6 for children under 6. Dinner includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, green beans and dessert. Coffee, tea and lemonade to drink.
• 2022 Camp 911 will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 27, at the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety building, 435 N. Michigan Ave., Big Rapids. This free hands-on learning experience is designed to provide seniors with readiness training for various incidences and emergencies. Open to older residents of Mecosta, Osceola and Lake counties. • The Mason-Lake Conservation District board of directors will meet at 4 p.m., Aug. 8, at the Scottville branch of the Mason County Library, 204 E. State St., Scottville. The public is invited to attend.
