LCSO Charitable Campaign donates $500 to Caring Quilts in Baldwin

Funds will help provide quilts to homeless, seniors and others in need

LAKE COUNTY — Lake County Sheriff Rich Martin presented a check for $500 to Caring Quilts of Covenant Community United Methodist Church in Baldwin recently as part of the ongoing LCSO Charitable Campaign.

“It was a privilege to issue out another check today from one of our charity campaigns, which will help provide quilts for the homeless, elderly or others in need,” Sheriff Martin said.

The LCSO charity campaign includes the Sheriff's Returnables for Charity, the Blessing of the Bikes Shirt Drive, the Special Cause Sheriff Patch Drive, the Challenge Coin Sales and the No Shave/Beard Campaign.

The campaign has given donations totaling over $53,400 to over 45 local nonprofits to date.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Charitable Campaign would like to thank all those who have contributed to these programs. They are ongoing programs that will continue to benefit charities within and around Lake County.
