James Lee 'Jim' Hall
BITLEY — James Lee “Jim” Hall, passed away on Sunday, Nov.15, 2015, in Bitely.
He is survived by his siblings, Norma (David) Scott, Sr., Alan (Sue) Hall, Tina Peterson, Kevin (Marcy) Hall, Nancy (Randy) Walsh, Patricia (Terry) Hall, and Cheryl Hall; 18 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Norman E. and Leona (Postma) Hall; his brother, Douglas E. Hall; his niece, Michelle K. Hall; and his nephew, David Scott, Jr.
Jim started life on his own at age 16. He became a part of the Koster family. Through them, he acquired a loving, caring friend, aunt Judy Plaay. He fell in love with the “North Country” and settled in Bitely. He worked more than 30 years at VanEerden Foods and became a well-loved part of his community in Bitely. Jim loved taking action for vets and helping serve them, as well as anyone else who needed help, although he was very stubborn about taking help from anyone for himself.
On Nov. 15, 2015, he has left us, but his memory will be held very dear to many people who called him “family” and “friend.”
There will be a gathering in Jim’s honor at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Ruby Creek Tavern, at 7980 E. Washington Road, in Branch Township, to celebrate his life and share what he meant to us.
