School shootings dating back to 1970 are now interactively documented with information in a new online map.

The K-12 School Shooting Database comes from the Center For Homeland Defense And Security and has documented school shootings over the last 52 years, including 2022. Overall in that time frame, the map shows 2,033 shootings, 675 fatalities and 1,885 injuries.

Tuesday's shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas has since been added to the data.

Users can use an in-depth filtering system that allows them to choose various criteria to specifically find a particular incident; such as location, type of of situation and shooting information.
