BALDWIN — Houseman’s Food Center collected $836.53 to support Bread of Life Pantry in Baldwin during the Fourth of July “Donate at Checkout” campaign.
“The partnership with Houseman’s Foods to help Bread of Life Pantry feed our neighbors is so exciting,” said pantry director Lynne Mills. “Thank you to Marlene Schofield, Brandy and all the cashiers that helped bring awareness to the need to help others fight hunger.”
Mills said the pantry has seen a steady increase in family visits and has averaged 129 families the past six weeks.
“As we see more families in need, we really appreciate the generous giving of our community,” she said.” We want to thank Houseman’s Foods for providing a way for the community to come together and share with those in need. It is a big project to fight hunger and it takes all of us to do our part to make it all work. Good job team Feed the Hungry. Thank you for all you do.”
