BALDWIN — There is plenty more Halloween goodies, scares and frightful fun for the kids.
This past Saturday, youth were treated to plenty of chilling excitement during the S&K Haunted Trail. The event, hosted by Shawn Coffey, in Idlewild, who has provided Halloween fun for 20 years, grows bigger and better each year, and really brings the community together.
Individuals and various groups/organizations in the county will donate candy or find ways to help out, and Coffey designs a great haunted trail, giving the youth a very memorable experience. Hot dogs and hot chocolate also are given out during the event, and plenty of candy for the kids.
If families missed out this past Saturday, or want to experience the scary adventures over again, there will be another S&K Haunted Trail beginning at dark, with the pole barn opening at 7:30 p.m. The trail is located at 7450 S. Coffey Ave., Baldwin.
Also last week, kids had a great time for the Spooktacular Story Hour, with a story, pumpkin decorating and Halloween contest, hosted by the Luther Area Public Library.
