1945-2013

Frederick Willard Figger, 68, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Friday, June 28, 2013 .

Fred was born in Saginaw on January 13, 1945, the son of Charles and Leona (Ellsworth) Figger. He was a lifetime Lake County resident and graduated from Baldwin Community Schools.

Surviving Fred are his loving wife of nine years, Mischell Lavon (Curtis) Figger; a brother, Charles (Sandra) Figger, of Baldwin; his stepson Eric S. Hogle (U.S. Army) and stepdaughter Chrissy Smith; grandchildren, Cameron, David and Ashley Murray, Amanda Carr and Trinity Dixon; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Leona Figger and daughters Brenda Murray and Elizabeth Figger.

Fred proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from Marquette Trails Golf Club after 22 years of service as head groundskeeper.

Fred enjoyed fishing after his retirement.

There will be a memorial luncheon at the Curtis home at 2106 W. 81st. St., Baldwin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013.
