Floyd "Pat" Clark

BALDWIN — Floyd “Pat” Clark, 82, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, at Grand Oaks Nursing.

He was born in Crystal Valley, grew up in Scottville, and loved to help on his uncle’s farm in Custer.  Pat served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He worked many years at the Lake County Road Commission, ending his career there as superintendent.  Pat had a woodworking shop where he loved to be after retiring.

Pat is survived by his wife, Lora; and three children, Greg (Debbie) Clark, of Branch, Jeanne Schmidt, of Scottville, and Monty (Laurie) Clark, of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren, Kari, Rebecca and Catherine Clark, and Joshua and Alyse Schmidt; two sisters. Lorna (Wayne) Grassley. of Howard City. and Cathy Van Liere. of Put-In-Bay, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, John and Adalyn Kerstein; his brother, Thomas Everson; and brother-in-law, Al Van Liere.

Private arrangements are being handled by Verdun Funeral Home in Baldwin.
