Christmas celebrations continue in Lake County, Michigan

LUTHER, BALDWIN — With many festivities throughout Lake county, which kicked off the first weekend in December, children still had opportunities to enjoy Christmas fun this past weekend in Luther and Baldwin.

The Luther Area Public Library hosted a family fun day, packed with holiday themes. Kids enjoyed a visit with Santa, had four different craft projects lined up, and painting with local artist Shirley Grahek. Hot cocoa and snacks also were offered.

"We had so much fun today during our Family Fun Day. Thank you everyone for coming out and thank you to our volunteers for helping out today," said Theresa Laughlin, of the Luther Area Public Library.

A Children's Christmas Party also was hosted at Duane E. Dewey AMVETS Post No. 1988 in Baldwin. Kids got to meet Santa, enjoy hotdogs and other goodies and gifts.
