Betty Foote receives Distinguished Community Service Award

Director of Henrietta Senior Center serves community in numerous ways

BALDWIN — Longtime resident of Lake County and director of Henrietta Senior Center, Betty Foote, was presented with a Distinguished Community Service Award by Lake County sheriff Rich Martin recently .

“I’ve only given this award out once in my term as Sheriff and this is my sixth year, but I wanted to recognize Ms. Betty today with the Distinguished Community Service Award from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office,” Martin said as he made the presentation. “We have had our relationship for a long time and you couldn’t ask for a harder working woman, honest, and tells you how it is.”

The award reads:

“For your service as a community leader, your contribution to the quality of life and positive impact to the community, your overwhelming selfless hours of volunteerism, as well as being a role model, mentor and inspiration to every citizen in Lake County.”

Foote was also presented with a LCSO patch and challenge coin.
