Baldwin seeks preschool teacher for new program

BALDWIN — Baldwin Community Schools is seeking a teacher for its new 3- and 4-year-old preschool program. The new position was approved by the Baldwin Community Schools Board of Education at its June 28 meeting.

Baldwin is starting a no-cost, full-day preschool program for 3- and 4-year-old children for the coming school year. Research shows that providing early childhood programs before children turn 5 years old yields significant medium- and long-term benefits for students such as identifying potential developmental delays and being better prepared academically for later grades.

“We are looking to hire someone who is passionate about early childhood education, will prepare our students for kindergarten and set them up for success in school and in life,” Superintendent David Forrester said. “Baldwin Community Schools is a great place to work, with competitive pay and benefits.”
