Baldwin schools ABC Kids' Awareness Garden Program receives $1,000 donation

Part of LCSO ongoing charitable campaign to support local nonprofits

BALDWIN — The Baldwin Community Schools ABC Kids’ Awareness Gardening Program is the latest recipient of a $1,000 donation from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Campaign.

Lake County Sheriff Rich Martin presented the group with a donation check recently.

“It was a privilege to issue out another check today from one of our charity campaigns,” Sheriff Martin said. 

The Lake County Sheriff’s charity campaign includes the Sheriff's Returnables for Charity, the Blessing of the Bikes Shirt Drive, the Special Cause Sheriff Patch Drive, the Challenge Coin Sales and the No Shave/Beard Campaign.

These are ongoing programs that continue to benefit local nonprofits within and around Lake County.

The campaign has given donations totaling over $52,900 to over 44 local nonprofits to date.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Charitable Campaign would like to thank all those who have contributed to these programs.
