BALDWIN — With the 50th Blessing of the Bikes quickly zooming up, the Baldwin Rotary Club is making the most of the weekend and the traffic which will be in town.

As a civically-geared group, the Baldwin Rotary Club supports outreaches to the community and also for special causes.

This weekend, folks can support the rotary club through a fundraiser they are hosting, selling kickstand coasters.

Also during the busy weekend, rotary members are collecting donations to support the people of Ukraine. Yellow and blue barrels, the colors of the Ukraine flag, will be located near Cole Insurance Agency and Wenger Insurance Agency in downtown Baldwin.

"Any donation is appreciated," said Terri Vanias, president of the Baldwin Rotary Club.

In the theme of bikes, rotary club members thought of young people, too, and recently gave away free bike lights to children at the Luther Area Public Library to promote safety.

Anyone interested in what the Baldwin Rotary Club is all about, the group meets at noon every Wednesday in the Pere Marquette Room at Pompeii's in Baldwin.

"Feel free to join and learn more about Rotary. We welcome anyone to join us," Vanias added.
