WPPOA game night a success

WOODLAND PARK — On Tuesday, August 27, 2013, a good time was had by all who attended the Woodland Park Property Owners Association (WPPOA) Game Night. The event took place from 4 to 8 p.m.

With a theme from the 50s’ and 60s’. it was a very family friendly affair. Board games such as Mah Jongg, Hangman and Pictionary were very well received. Card games such as Tonk and Spades made a full day for participants. The Bid Whist tournament was won by the partnership of Phyllis Carter and Thomas Frazier.

Mr. S. Whitley won the 50--50 raffle. Our President, Harry Dillard grilled the hot dogs. A hot dog and a pop sold for a dollar.

Line dancing ended the evening and seemed to be a big crowd pleaser. The group plans to make Game Night a regular summertime event.
