LAKE COUNTY — With all the forest land in Lake County, it is an ideal place for Hunter Safety instruction, and volunteers are being sought to help certify new hunters, teach safe firearms handling and ensure safety out in the woods.
"It's a quick and easy four-hour training session with flexible scheduling for volunteers," said Leo Heska, Hunter Safety instructor. "If you're too busy to teach, no problem. Our classes are frequent and short. You'll get other chances. If you like kids, the outdoors, promoting nutrition and the future of Lake County, join us and help us out. The students are great, classes are fun and its a good cause."
