LANSING — Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has appointed Senate Health Policy and Human Services Committee Chairman Sen. Curt VanderWall to the statewide, bipartisan Prescription Drug Task Force, charged with improving transparency and lowering the cost of prescription drugs, according to a news release issued this week.
“It is an honor and a solemn duty I take very seriously to be named to the Prescription Drug Task Force,” stated VanderWall, R-Ludington. “It is critical we address the high cost of prescription drugs, especially for folks in rural areas. I look forward to working with health leaders across the state to get this done.”
