Upcoming events in Lake County

The following are upcoming events in Lake County: 

• Chase Pickle Fest corn hole tournament will be from 6 to 9 p.m. om Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Chase Creek Smokehouse.

• The Baldwin Rotary 36th Annual Golf Outing will begin with registration at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, at the Marquette Trails Golf Course. A four-person scramble begins at noon. Tickets are $60 each and include golf, cart, lunch and dinner.

• Chase Pickle Festival beauty pageant will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 at the Chase Creek Smokehouse.

• Chase Pickle Festival will begin at 11 a.m. with a parade through town on Saturday, Sept. 9. The event will continue through the day and evening at the Chase Township Library Park.

• The fourth annual Chase Creek Smokehouse Antique and Classic Car Show will begin at noon at the Chase Creek Smokehouse followed by a chicken barbeque at 1 p.m. All proceeds go toward the Chase Township Public Library.

• There will be a Village of Baldwin council meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, at the village office.

• Sauble Township board members meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, at the Sauble Township Hall.

• Ellsworth Township board members meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, at the Ellsworth Township Hall.

• Elk Township board members meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Elk Township Hall.

• Lake County Board of Commissioners will meet for their finance meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, in the commissioners room at the Lake County Courthouse. The regular commissioners meeting is to follow at 10 a.m.

• The Lake County Historical Society will meet for their monthly program at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Baldwin Business Center. This month will feature the history of the historic town Marlborough.

• Dover Township board members will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

• Webber Township board members will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Webber Township Hall.

• Sweetwater Township board members will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Sweetwater Township Hall.
