Trial court for 3-24-2011

The following actions were taken in Lake County trial court for the week ending Thursday, Mar. 17, 2011:

• Tamika Lynn-Ann Mallory, 30, of Morley, was arraigned on a charge of probation violation. A hearing was scheduled for Mar. 22 at 2 p.m. Bond was set at $25,000. The defendant was currently lodged.

• Peter Lamont Brown, 37, of Brethren, pleaded guilty to a charge of larceny less than $200. A charge of larceny in a building was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250, restitution of $20.60 and to serve 30 days.

• Cheryl Yvonne Fullerton, 43, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating impaired. Charges of OWI, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), driving an unregistered vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without security were dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $1,000 and to serve two days.

• Mark Jason Delisle, 38, of Tustin, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. A charge of failing to report an accident was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $350 and to serve one year at the discretion of the court within one year.

• Chad Andrew Catlin, 34, of Evart, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). A plea hearing was scheduled; defendant failed to appear and was found guilty of contempt. Bond was continued at $10,000. The defendant was sentenced to serve 15 days.

• Matthew David James Henney, 24, of Niles, had a guilty plea to a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) deferred for a period of six months’ unsupervised probation. The defendant will pay a $350 oversight fee.

• Edward Ellis Bloom, 30, of Baldwin, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed.

• Todd Clinton Cote, 36, of Luther, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving. A charge of OWI was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250.

• Nathan Joe Simpson, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and battery. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

• Donald Robert Reed, 42, of Irons, pleaded guilty to a charge of third-degree retail fraud. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250, restitution of $50, and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

• Thomas Ramon-James Neuman, 22, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of breaking and entering/illegal entry without the owner’s permission. Pretrial was scheduled for Apr. 7 at 10 a.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

• Troy David Stanton, 40, of Luther, pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic violence. Pretrial was scheduled for Mar. 17 at 9 a.m. The defendant is free on $5,000 bond.

• Christopher Allen Smith, 20, of Muskegon, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). Pretrial was scheduled for Mar. 17 at 2 p.m. Bond was set at $5,000.

• Ann Blandy Apostle, 43, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic violence. Pretrial was scheduled for Apr. 7 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was set at $3,500.

• David George Tuttle, 42, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic violence. Pretrial was scheduled for Apr. 7 at 2 p.m. Bond was set at $3,500.

• Michael Lee Gabrion II, 28, of White Cloud, pleaded guilty to two counts of breaking and entering a vehicle with damage to the vehicle. An additional count of breaking and entering a vehicle with damage to the vehicle was dismissed. Sentencing was scheduled for Apr. 5 at 1:30 p.m.

• Anthony Buchanan, 45, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of embezzlement under $200 by an agent or trustee. Pretrial was scheduled for Apr. 7 at 9 a.m. The defendant is free on $2,500 bond.

• Bryan William Smith, 30, of Montrose, pleaded guilty to a charge of delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana). A charge of fourth-degree fleeing and eluding was dismissed. Sentencing was scheduled for Mar. 28 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was continued.

• Tammy Lin Monsalvo, 42, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to charges of operating impaired. Charges of OWI/impaired or in the presence of a controlled substance and of failing to stop at the scene of a property destruction accident were dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $1,030 and to serve 93 days; 14 days now (CTS) and the balance at the discretion of the court within one year.

• Erica June Scott, 42, of Grand Rapids, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $350 and to serve one year at the discretion of the court within one year.

• James Charles Dodge III, 28, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate (second or subsequent offense). The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $350 and to serve one year at the discretion of the court within one year.

• Michel Edward Priest, 53, of Baldwin, was bound over to circuit court on a charge of identity theft. Bond was continued at $7,500. The defendant was currently lodged.

• Kenneth Mark Medlin, 34, of Luther, was bound over to circuit court on charges of first-degree home invasion and of being an habitual offender. Bond was continued at $150,000. The defendant was currently lodged.

• Philander Williams Love, 30, of Bitely, was arraigned on charges of possession of cocaine less than 25 grams and of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. Preliminary examination was scheduled for Mar. 21 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on $10,000 bond.

• Vern Joseph Eagle, 29, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). Pretrial was scheduled for Apr. 7 at 11 a.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

• Anna Marie Hawke, 35, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). Pretrial was scheduled for Apr. 7 at 2 p.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

• Lethaniel M. King III, 47, of Idlewild, was arraigned on a charge of parole violation. A hearing was scheduled for Mar. 28 at 2 p.m. Bond was set at $3,500.

• John Francis Ramsay, 56, of Branch, pleaded no contest to a charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person 13 to 15. A charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct (multiple variable) was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $198 and to serve nine to 15 years (107 days CTS).
