Trial Court for 3-10-2011

The following actions were taken in Lake County trial court for the week ending Thursday, Mar. 3, 2011:

•Ralph Edward Coleman, 58, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic violence. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $350 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Suzanne Marie Sanders, 50, of Irons, pleaded no contest to a charge of disturbing the peace. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $150 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Ricky Allen Carter, 51, of Adrian, was bound over to circuit court on a charge of second-degree home invasion. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Tammy Lin Monsalvo, 42, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating impaired. Charges of OWI/impaired or in the presence of a controlled substance (second or subsequent offense) and of failing to stop at a property destruction accident were dismissed. Sentencing was scheduled for Mar. 15 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on $10,000 bond.

•Heather Lynn Ringle, 30, of Caro, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of motor vehicle fuel. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250, restitution of $31.15, and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Ryan Scott Cole, 21, of Chase, was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. Pretrial was scheduled for Mar. 17 at 9 a.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Nick Adam Clemens, 35, of Baldwin, pleaded no contest to a charge of domestic violence. A charge of resisting and obstructing a police officer was dismissed. Sentencing was scheduled for Mar. 28 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Dennis Keith Winek Jr., 39, of Irons, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Lee Francis Houde, 64, of Chase, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•James Deshawn Thomas, 33, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. A charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate (second or subsequent offense) was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to serve 93 days; nine days now and the balance at the discretion of the court within one year.

•James Charles Dodge III, was arraigned on a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate (second or subsequent offense). A criminal plea hearing was scheduled for Mar. 14 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on $3,500 bond.

•Erica June Scott, 42, of Grand Rapids, was arraigned on a charge of motor vehicle without security. A criminal plea hearing was scheduled for Mar. 14 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Irene Kay Baker, 54, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of OWI. Pretrial was scheduled for Mar. 17 at 2 p.m. The defendant is free on $3,500 bond.

•Michael Lee Oisten, 30, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of threatening a Department of Human Services employee with physical harm. Pretrial was scheduled for Mar. 17 at 9 a.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Ronald David Stanton, 18, of Luther, pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic violence. Pretrial was scheduled for Mar. 17 at 9 a.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Kenneth Mark Medlin, 34, of Luther, was arraigned on charges of first-degree home invasion and of being an habitual offender (fourth offense). Preliminary examination is scheduled for Mar. 14 at 1:30 a.m. Bond was continued at $150,000. The defendant was currently lodged.

•Joshua Robert Burke, 22, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of probation violation. The defendant was sentenced to serve two to five years with 311 days CTS.

•Joshua Paul Dewulf, 24, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of probation violation. Sentencing was scheduled for Mar. 8 at 2 p.m. No bond pending sentencing; the defendant was currently lodged.
