Trial Court - Week ending June 10

The following actions were taken in Lake County Trial Court the week ending June 10, 2013:

Daniel Nate Bowman, 25, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of receiving and concealing stolen property-less than $200. A pretrial was scheduled for June 20, 2013 at 9 a.m. Bond of $2,500, ten percent was continueded.

Martin VanBuren Brown Jr., 55, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. A pretrial was scheduled for June 20, 2013 at 10 a.m. Bond of $2,500. ten percent was continued.

Gregory Bruce Carter Jr., 37, of Detroit, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375.

Ashley Marie Augusta Cass, 25, of Reed City, was arraigned on charges of fleeing and eluding-fourth degree, resisting and obstructing a police officer and driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. A preliminary examination was scheduled for June 18, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was set at $10,000, ten percent.

Angie Lynn Goodwin, 31, of Morley, pleaded guilty to non-sufficient funds-less than $100. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275, victim’s restitution of $74.62 and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.

Deangelo Monroe Henderson, 24, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to stop at the scene of a property damage accident. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. The defendant was also scheduled for a restitution hearing on June 18, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.

Michael Benjamin Keenan, 34, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly person-drunk. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next
