The following actions were taken in Lake County Trial Court the week ending Dec. 23, 2015:

  • Carolyn Amber Abernathy, 27, of Baldwin, was arraigned on three charges of uttering and publishing and one charge of credit card/forgery-altering-CF. A preliminary examination is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Jerud Edward Baker, 38, of Irons, pleaded guilty to a charge of domestic violence. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $350, 93 days in jail, to serve nine days now, with credit for time served and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year. The no contact bond condition was continued.
  • George Samuel Barker Jr., 22, of Baldwin, was bound over to circuit court on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance/marijuana, and weapons — purchased without a license. Bond of $3,500, 10 percent, was posted.
  • Matthew John Bonnau, 30, of Grand Ledge, was arraigned on a charge of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. Bond of $5,000, 10 percent was posted.
  • Nick Adam Clemens, 40, of Baldwin, pleaded no contest to a charge of disorderly person — drunk. The defendant was sentenced to 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Steve Charles Decator, 60, of Evart, was arraigned on charges of operating intoxicated — third and driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate/second/subsequent. A preliminary examination is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2015. Bond was set at $15,000, 10 percent with a condition of no alcohol.
  • Robert Walter-Allen Domingo, 27, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. The defendant was sentenced to one year in jail, to serve six days now and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Steven Michael Erickson, 26, of Hesperia, was arraigned on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and wildlife conservation part — general violation, bound over to circuit court and arraigned on those charges. A pretrial is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2015. The defendant is free on personal recognizance.
  • Danae Leigh Goddard, 30, of Irons, was arraigned on a charge of assault/assault and battery. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Bond was set at $5,000, 10 percent with a condition of no contact with the victim.
  • Leonard Joseph Gulledge, 25, of Idlewild, was arraigned on charges of weapons — purchase without a license, operating a motor vehicle without a license, driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate and improper plates. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. Bond of $2,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • Deangelo Monroe Henderson, 26, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. A charge of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed.
  • Curtis Robert Holden, 64, of Muskegon, was bound over to circuit court on charges of firearms — possession by a felon, possession of a firearm in a vehicle or motor boat and habitual offender — fourth offense notice. Bond of $7,500, 10 percent was continued.
  • Andrew James Joldersma, 28, of Rockford, pleaded guilty to an added charge of use of a controlled substance/marijuana. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375, license suspended for one year, restricted license after 60 days and one year in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. Charges of possession of a controlled substance — non narcotic and possession of a controlled substance/marijuana were dismissed.
  • Quincy Dale Kadwell, 38, of Chase, pleaded guilty to charges of no valid operators license in possession and no proof of insurance. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year on one charge and 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year on the second charge. A charge of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed.
  • Maxine Ruth Lambie, 65, of Chase, was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Coel Koza Lewis, 32, of Grand Rapids, was arraigned on a charge of reckless driving. A pretrial is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016. Bond of $3,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • Robert Ellery Maddox, 35, of Chase, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed.
  • Andrew Alan Manley, 49, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle without security. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375 and one year in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Michele Rene McDaniel, 39, of Grand Rapids, was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Justin Andrew Mears, 25, of Stanton, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375 and one year in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Steven Russell Montgomery, 54, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle/passenger and an added charge of allowing a suspended/revoked person to drive. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275, 10 days in jail with credit for time served on the first charge and 90 days in jail, to serve ten days now, with credit for time served on the second charge. A charge of driving while license expired was dismissed.
  • David Michael Skurya, 54, of Irons, was arraigned on charges of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate/second/subsequent and operating a motor vehicle without security. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Bond of $3,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • Sharon Ann Stevens, 68, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated. Sentencing was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016. Bond was continued.
  • Nichole Lynn Stevenson, 33, of Irons, pleaded guilty to a false report of a misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. The no contact condition was lifted.
  • Jessica Lee Strouse, 31, of Irons, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance/marijuana and breaking and entering, illegal entry without owners permission. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Bond was set at $5,000, 10 percent with a condition of no contact with the victim.
  • Michael Arron Thomas, 20, of Lincoln Park, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle without security and driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Bond was set at $3,500, 10 percent.
  • James Henry Vanandel, 52, of Nunica, pleaded guilty to an added charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. A charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate/second/subsequent was dismissed.
  • Douglas Karl Vruggink, 50, of Irons, pleaded guilty to a charge of disturbing the peace. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Kyle James Vruggink, 27, of Irons pleaded guilty to a charge of disturbing the peace. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 90 days in jail, to serve three now, with credit for time served and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Douglas Richard Walter, 46, of Fountain, was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Bond of $5,000, 10 percent was posted.
  • William Harold Wiersma, 50, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of criminal sexual conduct first degree (person under 13, defendant 17/older). Defendant was then bound over to circuit court and arraigned in circuit court on the same charge. A pretrial is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
  • Jenni Rebecca Williams, 43, of Irons, was arraigned on a charge of domestic violence. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. Bond was set at $5,000, 10 percent with a condition of no contact with the victim.
