The following actions were taken in Lake County Trial Court the week ending October 28, 2014:

  • Ryan Leith Bannister, 45, of Luther, pleaded guilty to an added charge of operating while intoxicated. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $1,150, and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. A charge of operating with a high blood alcohol level was dismissed.
  • Shawn Allen Burns, 26, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of retail fraud - third degree. A pretrial was scheduled for October 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. The defendant was free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Amy Danielle Hartgrove, 38, of Luther, was arraigned in Circuit Court on a charge of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance/marijuana. A pretrial was scheduled for October 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. Bond was continued.
  • Anton Lovely Hill, 35, of Muskegon, was arraigned on a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. A pretrial was scheduled for Nov. 13, 2014 at 9 a.m. The defendant was free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Lawrence Edward Kissinger, 19, of LeRoy, was arraigned in Circuit Court on a charge of criminal sexual conduct-fourth-force or coercion. A pretrial was scheduled for December 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. Bond was continued.
  • Travis Chet Matuszewski, 43, of Luther, was arraigned in Circuit Court on a charge of controlled substance-second offense. A pretrial was scheduled for October 30, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant was free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Brent Alan Mills, 42, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty in Circuit Court to an amended charge of criminal sexual conduct-first-relationship. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $68, crime victims restitution of $130, 12 to 30 years in jail with credit for time served of 57 days. Three charges of criminal sexual conduct-first (person under 13, defendant 17/older) were dismissed.
  • Steven Darrell Randall, 22, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of malicious destruction of property, $200. or more but less than $1,000. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375 and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Anitra Ly-Ann Raspberry, 38, of Idlewild, was arraigned on charges of home invasion-second degree and Interfering with electronic communication. A preliminary examination was scheduled for November 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant was free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Michel Franklin Rider, 30, of Irons, was arraigned in Circuit Court on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. A pretrial was scheduled for November 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. The defendant was free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Jentle Janice Thomas, 34, of South Holland, IL, was arraigned on a charge of aggravated assault. A pretrial was scheduled for October 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. The defendant was free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Matthew James Williams, 33, of Jackson, was arraigned in Circuit Court on two charges of criminal sexual conduct-third-person 13 to 15 and two charges of habitual offender-fourth offense notice. A pretrial was scheduled for October 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. Bond of $50,000 cash was continued.
