Trial Court

  • Jan James Atkinson, 62, of Idlewild was found guilty on one count of domestic violence. She was sentenced to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court and to pay $105 to the court. A condition of no contact was continued.
  • Tamie Annice Betteridge, 57, of Branch pleaded guilty to one count ofcareless driving and had a count of operating while intoxicated dismissed. Bond was set at $3,500, 10 percent.
  • Matthew Jonathan Boerma, 24, of Morley was arraigned on one count larceny - less than $200 and one count trespass. Bond was set at $2,500, 10 percent. Pretrial is set for Tuesday, March 15.
  • Alexander Michael Cornelius, 24, of Sparta had a charge of wildlife conservation - taking deer/bear/turkey dismisses and was found guilty of one count of littering on public/private property. He was released on personal recognizance bond.
  • James Edward Davis, 62, of Baldwin was charged with domestic violence - third offense. A preliminary exam was scheduled for Tuesday, March 8. Bond was set at $10,000, 10 percent.
  • Chad Frederick, 25, of Branch had a charge of reckless driving and a charge of improper plates dismissed. He was found guilty of reckless driving and failing to stop at a scene. Surety bond was posted at $3,500, 10 percent.
  • Timothy Shane Fullerton, 27, of Luther pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated assault and a counts of assault/assault & battery. He pleased guilty to a second count of assault/assault & battery. Bond was posted at $7,500, 10 percent.
  • Edward Lamarr Hanson, 35, of Detroit was found guilty of one count of disorderly person - drunk. Was sentenced to 90 days to the court's discretion.
  • Jean Hilliard, 76, of Idlewild was arraigned on one count of assault with a dangerous weapon. Bond was posted at $5,000, 10 percent with the condition of no contact with the victim and no entry at the victim's address.
  • Majena Ruby Hinton, 18, of Idlewild pleaded guilty to one count of breaking and entering without owners permission. Ordered to pay $275 to the court and spend 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court.
  • Brad Allen Holmes, 41, of Stanwood pleaded guilty to one count of wildlife conservation - taking deer/bear/turkey. He was fined $435 and must serve 90 days at the courts discretion.
  • Jazeron Charles Knowles, 24, of Idelwild was arraigned on one count of home invasion - third degree. The case was dismissed.
  • Maxine Ruth Lambie, 66, of Chase had a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security dismissed.
  • Emma Jean Longe, 58, of Bitely pleaded guilty to one count of improper plates and one count of no proof of insurance. One count of operating a motor vehcile without security and one count of driving while license was expired were dismissed. Was ordered to pay $275 to the court.
  • Robert Ellery Maddix, 36, of Muskegon had charge of domestic violence dismissed.
  • Harry Lee McCullough, 78, of Baldwin pleaded no contest to first degree criminal sexual misconduct (person under 13, defendant 17 or older) had an additional charge of second degree criminal sexual conduct (person under 13, defendant 17 or older) dismissed.
  • Michael David McKerchie III, 27, of Jackson pleaded no contest to one count of escape - prison and had a charge of habitual offender - fourth offense dismissed. Sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15.
  • Rose Riker, 44, of Luther was arraigned and had a charge of operating while intoxicated and a charge of no valid license in possession dismissed and was found guilty of one count of operating impaired. She was sentenced to 93 days in jail at the court's discretion.
  • Peter Bowie Salerno, 19, of Newaygo was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance - nonnarcotic. A preliminary exam is set for Monday, March 14. Bond was set at $10,000, 10 percent.
  • David Michael Schroll, 25, of Baldwin was found guilty of one count of third degree arson and was sentenced to 6 months in jail and 24 months probation with orders to pay $858 to the court.
  • Adam Levi Smith, 31, of Idlewild pleaded guilty to one count of driving without a suspended license/allowing a suspended person to operate and had a count of medical marijuana - improper transport dismissed. Was ordered to pay fines and costs of $275 and was sentenced to serve 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court.
  • David Brittaiin Stevenson, 63, of Baldwin was charged with operating a motor vehicle without security.  A pretrial was set for Thursday, March 17. He was released on personal recognizance bond.
  • Melissa Sue Strickland, 37, of Wyoming pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. She was ordered to pay fines and costs of $375 and serve 365 days in jail at the discretion of the court.
  • Michael Auvez Tilman, 36, of Branch pleaded guilty to one count of reckless operation of a snowmobile and had a count of operating a snowmobile with license suspended/revoked - second offense dismissed. Was sentenced to 180 in jail at the court's discretion and to pay $375 in fines and costs.
  • Darrin Christopher Thomas, 40, of Baldwin pleaded guilty of one count of delivery and manufacture of methamphetamine/ecstasy and had a charge of habitual offender - third offense dismissed. He was sentenced to four years and three months to 20 years in jail with a credit of 159 days served and to pay fines and costs of $198.
  • Darrin Christopher Thomas, 40, of Baldwin pleaded guilty to a count of feeling and eluding - fourth degree. He also had charges of resisting and obstructing a police officer, driving with a suspended license to operate, and reckless driving dismissed. He must also pay $198 in costs and fines. He was sentenced to serve 16 months to two years in jail with a credit of $159 days served.
  • Craig Allan Tyndall, 43, of Irons pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance - marijuana and failure to report an accident. He had an additional charge of operating a motor vehicle without security dismissed. He was sentenced to serve 455 days in jail to serve three.
  • Alan Scott Wolschlager, 52, of Irons was arraigned on on count of operating a motor vehicle without security. A pretrial was set for Thursday, March 17. He was released on personal recognizance bond.
  • Xavier Jania Woodson, 17, of Baldwinpleaded guilty to breaking and entering without the owner's permission. Was ordered to pay $275 fines and costs and was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail at the discretion of the court.
