Trial Court

The following actions were taken in Lake County Trial Court the week ending Feb. 17, 2016:

  • Eddie Wayne Abbott Jr., 40, of Baldwin, was sentenced to fines and costs of $668, crime victims restitution of $130, a supervision fee of $480, 24 months probation, 11 months jail, 60 days now with credit for time served of 59 days, and the balance at the discretion of the court on an added charge of attempted criminal sexual assault — second degree. Charges of criminal sexual conduct — second degree, under 13, defendant 17 or older and habitual offender/second offence notice were dismissed.
  • Brent Jay Jenkins, 33, of Baldwin, was sentenced to fines and costs of $68, crime victims restitution of $130, one year, one day to four years consecutive to Vermont sentence, concurrent with other state, on an added charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. Charges of assault with intent to do bodily harm and habitual offender/second offense notice were dismissed.
  • Mark Jerome Johnson, 59, of Idlewild, was arraigned in circuit court on charges of breaking and entering without breaking — with intent, receiving and concealing stolen property, $1,000 less than $10,000, and habitual offender — second offense. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1. Bond was reduced to $10,000, 10 percent with a condition of no contact with the victim.
  • Tammy Raye Leon, 48, of White Cloud, was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • John Michel Mangold, 63, of Irons, was arraigned on a charge of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on on Thursday, March 3. Bond of $3,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • Anthony Thomas Manning, 27, of Baldwin, was sentenced to one year, one day to four years, consecutive to Vermont and concurrent to New Hampshire on an added charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. Charges of assault with intent to do bodily harm and habitual offender/second offense notice were dismissed.
  • Harry Lee Mc Cullough, 77, of Baldwin, was arraigned on two charges of criminal sexual conduct — first degree (person under 13, defendant 17 or older, criminal sexual conduct — second degree — under 13 and criminal sexual conduct — second degree — under 13, defendant 17 or older. A preliminary examination was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety with a condition of no contact with the victim.
  • Patrick Roscoe Moore, 38, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of distribution without remuneration — arijuana. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3. Bond of $2,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • James Daniel Freddie Shockome pleaded guilty to an added charge of attempted malicious use of telecommunications service. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275, 90 days in jail, to serve three days now with credit for time served and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year with the no contact bond condition continued. A charge of malicious use of telecommunications service was dismissed.
  • Peter Victor Skinsacos, 42, of Luther, was bound over to circuit court on charges of malicious destruction — tility property, fraudulent use — public utility over $500 and delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance — marijuana. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Adam Levi Smith, 31, of Idlewild, was arraigned on charges of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate and improper transport - medical marijuana. A pretrial was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 18. Bond of $3,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • Linsey Smith, 53, of Idlewild, was arraigned on a charge of retail fraud — third degree. A pretrial is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 3. Bond of $3,500, 10 percent was posted with a condition of no entry at Family Dollar.
  • Michael Auvez Tilman, 35, of Branch, was arraigned on charges of operating a snowmobile — operators license suspended/revoked — second offense and reckless operation of a snowmobile. A pretrial was scheduled for 9 a.m. on Feb. 18. Bond of $3,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • Rayshunn Trevathan, 27, of Baldwin, was sentenced to fines and costs of $68, crime victims rights $130, and one year one day to four years jail consecutive to Vermont, concurrent by state to other sentence on an added charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. Charges of assault with intent to do bodily harm and habitual offender/second offense notice were dismissed.
  • Jacob Royal Wilkins, 19, of Luther was arraigned on charges of larceny — less than $200 and trespassing. A pretrial was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 16. Bond of $2,500, 10 percent was posted.
  • Jody Lynn Yerian, 49, of Fountain, was arraigned on a charge of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Feb. 18. Bond of $5,000, 10 percent was posted.
