The following actions were taken in Lake County Trial Court the week of February 8, 2016:

  • Brandie Frances Bloom, 35, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of embezzlement AGT $200 or more/less than $1,000. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375, one year in jail at the courts discretion over the next year, victim's restitution of $644 and no entrance to Family Dollar.
  • Erin June Blue, 51, of Baldwin, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed.
  • Latasha Monique Boatwright, 34, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving with a suspended license/allowing a suspended person to operate/second/subsequent. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375, 90 days in jail, to serve two days now with credit for time served and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • John Stephen Bozek, 71, of Rodney, pleaded no contest in circuit court to a charge of operating intoxicated/third. Sentencing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Bond was continued. Charges of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate and habitual offender - fourth offense notice were dismissed.
  • Donald Nelson Clemens, 65, of Baldwin, pleaded no contest in circuit court to charges of fleeing and eluding - fourth degree and habitual offender - third offense notice. Sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Bond is continued. A charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate was dismissed.
  • James Russell Cross, 24, of Irons, pleaded  guilty in circuit court to an added charge of home invasion - third degree. Sentencing was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Bond was continued. A charge of home invasion - second degree was dismissed.
  • Olivia Alyson Marie Eicbauer, 20, of Kaleva, was arraigned on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon. A preliminary examination is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Jeremy Allen Foreman, 22, of Idlewild, pleaded no contest to an added charge of attempted harboring. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. A charge of accessory after the fact/felony was dismissed.
  • Deanna Darnell Gulledge, 51, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty in circuit court to a charge of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance - marijuana. Sentencing was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March. 8, 2016.
  • Tiffany Trannette Hall, 37, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to an added charge of allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code. The defendant was sentenced to 93 days in jail, to serve 17 now with credit for time served and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year. A charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate/second/subsequent was dismissed.
  • Carl Lee Herring Sr., 48, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty in circuit court to a charge of uttering and publishing. Sentencing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Bond was continued. A second charge of uttering and publishing was dismissed.
  • Melissa Marie Hornacek, 27, of Walhalla, pleaded guilty to an added charge of allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $550 and 93 days in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year. A charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate was dismissed.
  • Jazeron Charles Knowles, 23, of Idlewild, was arraigned on a charge of home invasion-third degree. A preliminary examination is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016. The victim is free on personal recognizance bond with conditions of no contact with the victim and no entry at victim's residence.
  • Emma Jean Longe, 58, of Bitely, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle without security, driving while license expired and improper plates. A pretrial is scheduled for 10 a.m on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Peter Victor Skinsacos, 42, of Luther, was arraigned on charges of malicious dist - utility property, public utility - fraudulent use over $500 and delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance/marijuana. A preliminary examination is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • Gerald Nathaniel Smith, no D.O.B. given, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375 and one year in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Timothy James Snyder, 52, of Muskegon, pleaded guilty to wildlife conservation - taking deer/bear/turkey. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $435, victim's restitution of $6,000., five days in jail, suspended and license suspended for 2016 plus three more years.
  • David Alan Stinson Jr., 37, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate/second/subsequent. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375, one year in jail, to serve seven days now and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year. A charge of unlawful use/display of operators license was dismissed.
  • Michael Arron Thomas, 20, of Lincoln Park, pleaded guilty to charges of operating a motor vehicle without security and driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375, one year in jail, to serve five days now and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year on the first count and 93 days in jail, to serve five days now and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year on the second charge.
  • Robert Lewis Traviss Jr., 34, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to charges of wildlife conservation - taking deer/bear/turkey and two charges of wildlife conservation part - general violation. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $435, victim's restitution of $2,000 and 90 days in jail, to serve five days now, suspended on the first charge and fines and costs of $50 each on the second and third charges. Charges of firearms - possession by a felon and habitual offended - third offense notice were dismissed.
  • Craig Allan Tyndall, 42, of Irons, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, operating a motor vehicle without security and failure to report an accident. A pretrial is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.
  • William Harold Wiersema, 50, of Baldwin, had a charge of criminal sexual conduct/first degree - relationship dismissed.
