Trial Court

The following actions were taken in Lake County Trial Court the week ending April 21, 2014:

Beth Ann Beeler, 36, of Hesperia, was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle without security and improper plates. A pretrial was scheduled for April 24, 2014 at 9 a.m. The defendant was free on personal recognizance bond.

Morgan Nichole Bergman, 25, of Bitely, was arraigned on two charges of assault/assault and battery. A pretrial was scheduled for April 24, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Bond of $3,500, ten percent was continued with the condition of no contact.

Frank Anthony Charnes III, 49, of Irons, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed.

Cory Michael Cox, 21, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of retail fraud-third degree. A pretrial was scheduled for April 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. Bond of $2,500, ten percent was continued. Defendant received notice that he is not allowed to enter Wesco.

Tony Wayne Diehm, 42, of Branch, pleaded no contest to a charge of domestic violence. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $275 and 93 days in jail, to serve 27 days now with credit for time served, and the balance at the discretion of the court over the next year.

Deshun Deque Downes, 36, of Saginaw, was bound over to Circuit Court on three charges of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance-less than 50 grams and two charges of maintaining a drug house. One charge of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance-less than 50 grams was dismissed. Bond of $50,000 cash or surety was posted. A pretrial was scheduled for April 24, 2014 at 9 a.m.

Eric James Ennis, 26, of LeRoy, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375 and one year in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.

Dominique Laquan Gadlen, 25, of Lansing, was bound over to Circuit Court on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. Bond was set at $15,000, cash or surety.

David Michael Schroll, 22, of Baldwin was arraigned on a charge of receiving and concealing stolen property-less than $200. A pretrial was scheduled for May 15, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond with the condition of no contact with the victim.

Shanice Shanell Tucker, 23, of Idlewild, was arraigned on charges of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate, operating a motor vehicle without security and improper plates. A pretrial was scheduled for April 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. Bond was continued.

Jessica Lynn Vlassis, 26, of Cadillac, was arraigned on charges of operating with a high blood alcohol content and driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. A pretrial was scheduled for April 24, 2014 at 9 a.m. Bond was continued.
