Trial Court

The following actions were taken in Lake County Trial Court the week ending March 4, 2015:

  • Michael Clayton Corbet, 48, of Baldwin, was arraigned in Circuit Court on charges of sex offender-failure to register, operating a motor vehicle without security and improper plates. A pretrial was scheduled for March 19, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was continued.
  • Fred Arthur Christmas, 56, of Scottville, was arraigned in Circuit Court on charges of firearms-possession by a felon, possession of a controlled substance-less than 25 grams and domestic violence. A pretrial was scheduled for April 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. Bond was continued with a condition of no contact with the victim.
  • Christa Alise Gonzalez, 21, of Wellston, was arraigned on a charge of larceny in a building. A preliminary examination was scheduled fo March 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was set at $5,000, ten percent.
  • Danell Antone Henderson, 40, of Idlewild, pleaded guilty in Circuit Court to a charge of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance-marijuana. The defendant was sentenced to 12 months probation, 10 months jail, 60 days now, to begin jail March 6, 2015 at 6 p.m.,work release authorized, drivers license suspended one year, 60 days hard, fines and costs $668, crime victims restitution of $130 and supervision fee of $240.
  • Billy James Kirsh, 45, of Snowflake, AZ, was arraigned on two charges of domestic violence and a charge of resisting and obstructing a police officer. A preliminary examination was scheduled for March 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was set at $10,000, ten percent with conditions of no alcohol and no contact with the victim.
  • Bruce Kelly Little, 33, of Irons, was arraigned on charges of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance-marijuana, resisting and obstructing a police officer and possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle-passenger.
  • A preliminary examination was scheduled for March 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Bond of $10,000, ten percent (surety) was posted.
  • William Little, 64, of Irons, was arraigned on charges of resisting and obstructing a police officer and fleeing and eluding-fourth degree. A preliminary examination was scheduled for March 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was set at $5,000 (surety).
  • Nathan James Maguire, 23, of Reed City, pleaded guilty in Circuit Court to one charge of sex offender-failure to register. Sentencing was scheduled for March 30, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Two other charges of sex offender-failure to register were dismissed. Personal recognizance bond was continued.
  • Travis Lawrence Martin, 22, of Reed City, was arraigned on a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate/second /subsequent. A pretrial was scheduled for March 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. Bond of $5,000, ten percent was posted.
  •  Robert Anthony-Wolever Newcom, 34, of Walhalla, was arraigned on charges of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate/second/subsequent and operating while intoxicated. A pretrial was scheduled for March 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Bond of $3,500, ten percent was posted.
  • Sundee Leeanna Parker, 23, of Irons, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. The defendant was sentenced to fines and costs of $375 and one year in jail at the discretion of the court over the next year.
  • Gary Eugene Richardson, 66, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial was scheduled for March 19, 2015 at 9 a.m. Bond of $3,500, ten percent was posted.
  • Clarency Byron Bernard Scott, 35, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. A pretrial was scheduled for March 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. Bond of $2,500, ten percent was posted.
  • Darin Lee Wixon, 50, of Reed City, was arraigned on a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate. A pretrial was scheduled for March 5, 2015 at 9 a.m. Bond was continued.
