Betty’s Famous Bread Pudding 6 or 7 slices bread (day old) 1 small box raisins (optional) 3 Cups milk 3 eggs 1 1/2 Cup sugar 1 Tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Break up the bread and put in 9 X 13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle raisins on top. Scald milk. Mix together the salt, butter, cinnamon and vanilla. Pour the spice mixture over the bread. Pour the scalded milk on top, be sure all the bread is covered. Let sit for 5 minutes before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until brown. Great warm or cold.
