TRIAL COURT: 7-14-2011

The following actions were taken in Lake County trial court for the week ending Thursday, June 7, 2011:

•Travis Anthony Mayes, 22 of Ferndale, was bound over to circuit court on charges of breaking and entering a building with intent and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). Bond was set at $10,000. The defendant was currently lodged.

•Kenneth Wayne Cox, 47 of Baldwin, was arraigned on charges of disturbing the peace and assaulting or obstructing a police officer. Preliminary examination was scheduled for July 11 at 10 a.m. The defendant is free on $10,000 bond.

•Reico Lahdan Williams, 28 of Big Rapids, pleaded guilty to a charge of parole violation. The defendant was sentenced to serve 18 months to four years (333 days CTS).

•Russell Louis Bidwell II, 28 of Scottville, pleaded guilty to a charge of parole violation. All probation conditions remain in full force.

•Dennis Lee Charles, 50 of Wellston, pleaded guilty to a charge of OWI. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $1,050 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Marcus Allejandro Spence, 25 of Waco, TX, pleaded guilty to a charge of operating impaired. A charge of OWI was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $1,050 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Dean Comrade McCallum, 31 of White Cloud, pleaded not guilty to charges of breaking and entering a vehicle to steal less than $200 and larceny less than $200. Pretrial was scheduled for July 21 at 9 a.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Gary Leeshawn Simmons, 39 of Baldwin, was arraigned on charges of forgery and embezzlement less than $20,000 by an agent or trustee. Preliminary examination was scheduled for July 12 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was set at $15,000. The defendant was currently lodged.

•Tommy Silas Dunn, 53 of Gowen, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance (second or subsequent offense) and of having no valid operator’s license in his possession. Preliminary examination was scheduled for July 11 at 2 p.m. The defendant is free on $2,500 bond.

•Maureen Catherine Gilleran, 47 of Idlewild, was arraigned on charges of OWI and operating under the influence of liquor with an occupant less than 16 (second offense). Preliminary examination was scheduled for July 12 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on $5,000 bond.

•Stephanie Marie Chartrand, 23 of Harrison, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamin/ecstacy). Preliminary examination was scheduled for July 12 at 2 p.m. Bond was set at $25,000. The defendant was currently lodged.
