TRIAL COURT 2-9-2012

The following actions were taken in Lake County trial court for the week ending Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012:

•Dennis Lee Charles, 50, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial was scheduled for Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. The defendant is free on $2,000 bond.

•Joshua Raymond Lowry, 24, of Leroy, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license suspended/allowing a suspended person to operate (second or subsequent offense) and was found guilty of contempt of court. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $250 and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Darrell Russell Silverman, 58, of Baldwin, pleaded guilty to a charge of larceny less than $200. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $150, restitution of $80, and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•William Keith Kamp, pleaded guilty to a charge of OWI. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $1080, and to serve 93 days at the discretion of the court within one year.

•Nathan Robert Gidley, 27, of Luther, was arraigned on a charge of delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance less than 50 grams. Pretrial was scheduled for March 8 at 2 p.m. The defendant is free on $15,000 bond.

•Christopher Alan Moffitt, 34, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a charge of resisting and obstructing a police officer. Pretrial was scheduled for Feb. 16 at 9 a.m. The defendant is free on $15,000 bond.

•Jeffrey Louis Shoemaker, 35, of Chase, was arraigned on a charge of domestic violence (third offense). Preliminary examination was scheduled for Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. The defendant is free on $5,000 bond.

•Danielle Elexus Davis, 26, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without security. Pretrial was scheduled for Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. The defendant is free on personal recognizance bond.

•Anthony Fritzgerald Mack, 47, of Fremont, pleaded not guilty to a charge of OWI. Pretrial was scheduled for Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. The defendant is free on $5,000 bond.

•Jonugene Otto Coleman, 31, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic violence. Pretrial was scheduled for Feb. 16 at 9 a.m. Bond was set at $3,500. The defendant was currently lodged.

•Lamont Jay Isaacs, 51, of Irons, pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree home invasion. A charge of being an habitual offender (third offense) was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $798, a $240 supervision fee, and to serve 12 months; 136 days (CTS) and the balance at the discretion of the court over a period of 24 months’ probation.

•Joshua John Bolley, 31, of Idlewild, pleaded no contest to a charge of attempted second-degree home invasion. A charge of being an habitual offender (fourth offense) was dismissed. The defendant was sentenced to pay fines and costs of $798 and to serve 51 days (CTS) and the balance at the discretion of the court over a period of 36 months’ probation.

•Ashley Nicole Lowry, 25, of Luther, was arraigned on a charge of operating or maintaining a controlled substance (methamphetamine) lab. Preliminary examination was scheduled for Feb. 7 at 1:30 p.m. Bond was set at $7,500. The defendant was currently lodged.
