Branch’s Kutchinski earns Trustee Scholarship and DC Marching Band Award

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College recently announced scholarship awards for the 2013-2014 academic year. Awards are given to students in five categories - Presidential, Dean’s, Pilgrim, Trustee, and Achievement – with dollar amounts ranging from $9,000 to full tuition. Additionally, students can be awarded a $2,000 Service Leadership Award, recognizing their commitment to service in their community. Students must attend the college’s fall or spring Scholarship Day event to qualify for scholarships. Among those who have been awarded and have accepted a Defiance College scholarship is the following area student: Angelyn Kutchinski, Branch, was awarded the Trustee Scholarship and DC Marching Band Award. Angelyn, daughter of Michelle and Joe Kutchinski, is a student at Mason County Central High School and involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, competitive cheerleading, concert band, marching band and track and field. Defiance College, chartered in 1850, is an independent, liberal arts institution in Northwest Ohio offering more than 40 undergraduate programs of study as well as graduate programs in education and business.
