Spirit of the Woods Folk Festival is Saturday

BRETHREN — Music lovers with an affection for traditional music and joining together with musicians are invited to the 36th Annual Spirit of the Woods Folk Festival this weekend.

The festival — held on the third Saturday of June — will take place from noon until 11 p.m. on Saturday at the Dickson Township Park in Brethren. The free, one-day festival offers a variety of family-friendly roots music on two stages, as well as arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities and food.

Main stage performers will include the Red Sea Pedestrians, The Crane Wives, Billy Strings and Don Julin, Kennedy’s Kitchen and The Nephews. The festival will conclude with a dance at 9 p.m. featuring Manistee’s own Larry Bialik and the Ramblin’ Band.
