BIG STAR LAKE — The Lake Community Bible Church of Baldwin, 8033 Central Park Blvd., extends an invitation to everyone to join them at 5 p.m. on July 29, for an afternoon of uplifting, toe tapping, God honoring, edifying, southern gospel music.

The event is the second of the Bible Church’s Songs and Sundaes summer concerts, and will feature the Foresters from Burton.

The Foresters are a family group in full time gospel music ministry. They travel all across the U.S., Canada and Europe holding more than 180 meetings each year.

The Foresters sing southern and traditional gospel music. They write much of the material they sing. They also sing many of the great old hymns and gospel songs of the church. Their group consists of Mark, vocals, piano and guitars; Andrea, vocals and bass guitar; Tyler, age 11, drums; and Trevor, age 7, vocals and bass guitar.

Mark and Andrea have released 31 recordings in 16 years. The newest is a project called “Living Proof.” It has a great mixture of old and new songs.

Both Mark and Andrea have attended Bible college to further their musical and Biblical studies. Mark is a graduate of Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac and Andrea attended Shawnee Baptist College in Louisville, Ky. Mark also has been an instructor at Midwestern Baptist College.

Pastor Robert Sponable and the LCBC Family invite the public to be blessed by the Forester’s ministry and also enjoy the ice cream sundaes following the concert.

A love offering will be received for the ministry of the Foresters.
