Sheriff’s Charity donates to Shrine of the Pines Museum

LAKE COUNTY — The Shrine of The Pines Museum in Baldwin is the most recent recipient of a $1,000 donation from the Lake County Sheriff’s Charity Campaign.

“It was a privilege to issue out another check today from one of our charity campaigns,” Sheriff Rich Martin said.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Department has collected funds from its Sheriff's Returnables for Charity Campaign, Blessing of the Bikes Shirt Drive and Special Cause Sheriff Patch Drive to provide financial support to a variety of local Lake County charitable organizations.

To date, we have given to the following charities:

• AMVETS Post 1988 - $2,000

• Luther Lions Club - $2,000

• VFW Post 5315 - $2,000

• Bread of Life Food Pantry - $2000

• Peacock Senior Center - $1,000

• Irons SDA Community Center/Pantry - $1,000

• Henrietta Senior Center - $1,000

• Baldwin Youth Football Club - $1,000 (proceeds from the shirt drive)

• Chase Public Library - $1,000

• Luther Fire Department - $1,000 - for the purchase of rescue sleds

• Shrine Of The Pines Museum - $1,000

Total amount given to non-profits to date: $15,000

These are ongoing programs that will continue to benefit several charities within Lake County.
