BALDWIN — Downtown Baldwin will be dazzling with Christmas spirit this Saturday, as the community celebrates the annual Santa Parade.

The Baldwin Area Arts and Action Council is presenting the annual parade at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, on Michigan Avenue in Baldwin. Lineup begins at noon in the west parking lot of the Lake County Courthouse. People can sign up to be in the parade to the day of the event, said Lee Ann Russell, of the Baldwin Area Arts and Action Council.

In addition, families can warm up with hot cocoa and hot dogs provided by Men of Purpose at the Wenger Pavilion and visit Santa himself after the parade.

Carriage rides through town will be available.

While in town, people can watch for sales in the local shops to get a head start on Christmas shopping.

The Lake County Historical Museum also is featuring an old-fashion Christmas ornament workshop for people to learn about past ornaments and have hands-on experience making them.
