Reward raised to $15,000 in Molotov cocktail bombing
IDLEWILD — The reward for information pertaining to a firebombing in Idlewild two years ago has been increased to $15,000.
Federal investigators who are now on the case are increasing the reward in hopes to obtain information which could solve the crime, when someone threw a Molotov cocktail through a window at a home in Idlewild in April 2017. The family escaped, but the home was destroyed. A 5-year-old girl sleeping in her bed avoided injury.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is doubling the reward to $10,000, and the Detroit Crime Commission is offering a separate $5,000 reward.
