Republican Women Sponsor ‘Stories in Stone’

BIG RAPIDS – On Monday, May 16, Dr. Tim Schmig, Executive Director of Michigan Association of Christian Schools will present “Stories in Stone,” a video tour of Washington, DC, documenting the establishment of USA on Christian Principles. The event will take place in the Crossroads Charter Academy’s Auditorium, 215 W. Spruce St., at 7 p.m.

There is no admission fee for this event which is open to all Americans who are concerned about the USA and are interested in learning about the founding of our Country, students, parents, senior adults. A freewill offering will be collected to cover the expenses incurred in the event, with excess proceeds going to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans to help meet the needs of the men and women who have defended our freedom.

The Republican Women of West Central Michigan (RWWCM) is a newly-chartered service club under the National Federation of Republican Women and the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan with membership open to Republican women in Mecosta, Osceola and surrounding areas.

RWCCM, whose mission is citizenship training, has adopted as its educational service project the “Making of America” Constitutional Study Seminar. They will host their first seminar on Saturday, Sept. 17, commemorating the formation and signing of the US Constitution in 1787.
