LAKE COUNTY — The Baldwin/White Cloud Forest Ranger District is going all out with a food drive for Bread of Life food pantry in Baldwin. In fun competition, the ranger district is being challenged by the local Department of Natural Resources in collecting the most food items. Whoever is defeated in the challenge is required to dunk in a river three times.

The non-perishable donations can be dropped off at the Baldwin/White Cloud Ranger Station, 650 Michigan Ave, Baldwin. The weigh-in will be Dec. 19.

“Last year, 170 pounds of food was raised for the food pantry,” said Baldwin/White Cloud Ranger Jake Lubera.
