Police searching for suspects who broke into Baldwin marijuana dispensary

BALDWIN — Police are searching for suspects who broke into The Green Door in Baldwin early Sunday morning.

According to a news release posted to Facebook by the Lake County Sheriff's Office, at 2:55 a.m. Sunday deputies responded to an alarm at The Green Door, a marijuana dispensary in Baldwin.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a burglary occurred.

Lake County K9 Luke reportedly tracked the suspects across the street to the Baldwin Canoe Rental, where police learned the suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

Surveillance videos captured images of the suspects prior to them entering The Green Door and later when they fled in a small SUV or mini-van.

As of Wednesday morning, the suspects have not been identified.

The sheriff's office is asking the community to check if they have surveillance video of M-37 between the hours of 2:20 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. Aug. 16.

According to the Facebook post, The Green Door is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the persons involved.
