The Bible says, "Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him," (Isa.57:19). Our country seems to be heading for a cliff. We have turmoil on everyside. What is the answer? Only Christ will bring a solution to us. We need His peace in our lives. The year is before us. How will we conduct ourselves in it?

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful," (Col.3:15). Are you listening to almighty God in these days? Are you teachable where you are? Make up your mind who you will follow. "I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints," (Psa.85:8).

Are you a child of God? "As many as received Him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe in His name," (Jn1:12). This choice is what will bring you real peace in these days. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus," (Philippians 4:7). The promise of God to every believer is clear today. You can't have peace apart from Christ. When Jesus said, "Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace," (Lu.7:50), what did he want? He was trying to point to the answer of faith in God which would bring us all peace. Christ came from eternity past, took upon Himself flesh and took our place on the cross. He rose the third day from the dead. We have a living savior to save every sinner who comes to God through Him. Paul said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved," (Acts 16:31).

We need peace today. Our families are being attacked by outside influences. We need peace in our homes today, that peace which comes through Christ. Turn to the Bible for answers. The foundations of faith are being chipped away today. The truth of the word of God is being set aside. Stand up for Christ.

Our churches are being attacked today. Radical groups are seeking to destroy faith in Christ by pretending all are the same. Jesus said, "I am the way," (Jn 14:6). I didn't make that up. It is God's Son who said that. Are you listening? Do you want peace? I mean real, lasting peace? Then listen to the apostle Paul, "Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means," (2Thess. 3:16).

There is an urgency here. Don't wait. Don't hesitate. Christ stands with holy arms stretched out for you. Come to Him by faith and be born again. Today is the day of salvation. Jesus Said, "Ye must be born again," (Jn 3:7). In John 14:27, Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

The world says peace will come if you drink enough alcohol or take enough drugs. The world lies when it says your peace depends on a love affair. The world says, peace will come when you find the love of your life. What a fantasy! Only Christ will give you the peace you need. You need peace for eternity as well as for the here and now. Trust God and He will bring peace. God says in the book of wisdom: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on thine own understanding. In all thine ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths," (Prov.3:5,6).

How long will you ignore the solution God offers to all? Stop it. Put your faith in the risen savior today. He will give you peace for your soul.
